  • Yes! We have a full list of pre-care and aftercare on our website. Please make sure to take a look before booking your appointment so that you are fully prepared and plan accordingly for future healing!

  • This depends on each client, their skin type, lifestyle, genetics, etc. Typically, clients come back every 1-3 years for a color touch-up. Some don’t come back for up to 5 years!

Some factors that may cause pre-mature fading:

    • Anti-aging or acne products that cause skin turnover rate to increase

    • Sun exposure without applying SPF

    • Medications

    • Not following aftercare instructions

  • Depending on the procedure, the initial healing (“flaking”) stage takes anywhere from 1-2 weeks. The final healing of the color will take up to 40 days as your skin fully heals.

(This is why your touch-up appointment isn’t for at least 6 weeks after the initial appointment)

  • Not at all! Nikki has been perfecting her craft for years; she is internationally licensed and certified in the best techniques. She has a light hand and numbs her clients to ensure comfort.

**Pain tolerance is subjective but most clients fall asleep or describe the pain as a 2 out of 10 at max.

**Please note that if you do not follow proper pre-care instructions, that you are likely to be more sensitive and more prone to bleeding which will affect the final results.

  • At Inked Cosmetics, we specialize in customized tattoos that will enhance your natural beauty, not overpower it. All tattoos will heal 30-70% lighter from the initial tattoo.

At your appointment, there is a consultation and design portion where we will work together to make sure that the tattoo is something that we’re both comfortable with before proceeding to the tattoo portion!

  • Yes! Permanent Makeup Tattoos are a two-step process. At your initial session, I will always choose to go more natural / conservative in terms of shape and color. This is because we can always add but we cannot take it back once it’s tattooed!

The 6-12 week touch-up is necessary to perfect anything that may have faded unevenly. It can also be used to adjust the color, thickness, and boldness of the tattoo.

  • All clients that have previous work done by a different tattoo artist, are considered a “New Client” and are required to book a “New Client” appointment.

Please send me pictures of your previous work prior to booking. Some work may need color correction, shape correction, or will need to be lasered off before I can correct it!

Pictures can be sent to 703-688-2722 and must be a full face picture without makeup, taken in natural lighting.

  • You can book here. A $100 deposit is required to secure your appointment. The remaining balance will be due the day of the appointment through Zelle, Cash, Venmo, or Debit/Credit Card.

Deposits are non-refundable so please make sure to check out our tattoo eligibility, pre-care, aftercare, and policies pages before booking!

  • Zelle is preferred but I also accept cash, Venmo, and debit/credit cards.
